ABOUT LIBRARY

Government Medical College Parbhani is a newly started medical college that is a formal medical education institute operating as per the decision of the Government of Maharashtra and as per the standards of the National Medical Commission, New Delhi.

The Central library of Government Medical College Parbhani is one of the best Medical libraries in the city of Parbhani. Central Library serving its users from the inception of College i.e. year 2023. Central Library is situated on the ground floor occupying a carpet area of 1000 sq. Ft., and is entirely air-conditioned supported with modern technologies like Wi-Fi, Digital CCTV. An ‘Open Access’ lends a hand to the users to pick a book of their choice. The Central Library has been upgraded with its new collection. The Central Library is functioning at Government Medical College, Parbhani for the day-to-day study of the medical students as well as for the day-to-day knowledge of other faculty members of the institute and to assist in their research. The central library not only provides reading material to the students but also provides an independent e-library for them to acquire information through the latest technology. The e-library helps students and faculty to find the information they need.

• Reference Documents like Year Books, Journals (Loose & Bound), Theses, Project Reports, Handbooks will not be issued out.
• Conversation and discussion disturb library ambience. Therefore, all are requested to maintain dignified silence. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library premises. All users are requested to keep their mobiles in silent mode
• Eatables are not allowed inside the library.
• The Library reserves the right to call back any issued book/item at any time.
• If the books are not returned within the specified time it will be viewed seriously and fine will be charged as per rules.
• After reading, make sure that the books, periodicals are kept back at their respective places.
• Library computers are for academic purpose only. Do not tamper with the computer settings. Follow the internet safety guidelines.
• Strict silence, decorum, discipline and cleanliness must be maintained in the library.
